BALLY AND SWIZZ BEATZ LAUNCH COLLABORATION IN NEW YORK
New York | Wednesday 12 July, 2017
What: Bally’s CEO Frédéric de Narp and Grammy Award-winning music producer Swizz Beatz hosted an intimate dinner to launch a collection collaboration curated by Swizz and designed by Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo. The dinner was held at Public in NYC on Wednesday night and was followed by a party at Public Arts with exclusive performances by hip hop artists Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh and DJ sets from Kid Capri and Kitty Cash. Li’l Vicious, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg also provided unscheduled entertainment on the night.
The collaboration came about organically with Swizz first reaching out to Bally last year through an Instagram post featuring a pair of Bally Ascona sneakers and the statement ‘Bally is back!’
Swizz met Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo through ‘No Commission’, a roving experiential platform launched to forge a direct link between the visual and musical arts and art patronage. ‘No Commission’, curated by Swizz is designed specifically to support artists in different cities around the world.
Cavolo’s prints will launch as part of the ‘Bally Collective, curated by Swizz Beatz,’ continuing the brand’s commitment to creating a platform to playfully empower artistic license across emerging and established talent.
The collection will launch globally at the end of September.
