We’re thrilled to welcome Sofia Capri to The King Street Precinct with her very first Australian ephemeral boutique.
Capri is a small island off the coast of Naples, Italy. The brilliant creative team behind Sofia Capri, Silvana and Rossella, are inspired by the age-old art of Capri sandal-making. They met by a chance encounter on the island, while paying tribute to Capri’s heyday of the 1960s. Taken aback to those years of 60s elegance, where the likes of Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot and Jacqueline kennedy would often stroll down the Capri narrow cobbled stoned streets sporting the native sandals. This simple accessory, was transformed into a coveted symbol of la dolce vita. It only seemed natural to start Sofia Capri.
Sofia Capri sandals are made-to-order, lovingly handcrafted on Capri, by a local family of artisans who have been dressing the feet of locals and visitors alike for more than three generations. This history adds a story to the elegant sandal. You can feel and smell the love that goes into each detail.
With delicate design and craft, needs only the finest of leathers and materials, hand picked from across Italy. Sofia Capri remains true to this classic Italian sandal, while staying on trend.
